Dog Training

Dog Training  & Obedience
Including Puppy Training

Dog training is an extremely important part of owning a dog, of any shape, size, or breed.

It is also very important to start training your young puppy or dog straight away, training is not something that can be put off till tomorrow.

Basic obedience should be the first thing you train your dog to do. Basic obedience commands are things like: “Sit”, “Down/lay”, “Stay”, “Come/Here” etc.

It is VERY important to teach your dog these commands for your dog's own safety and for the safety of others around you.

My training programs involve the whole family where possible and are a fun way to improve your relationship with your dog.

Training should always follow some simple rules.

These are as follows:

  • Consistence with your training

  • Positive re-enforcement of good or desired behaviour

  • Fun and rewarding for your dog (always set your dog up for success)

  • Short duration (10 -15 minutes, depending on your dog)

  • Distraction-free environment (unless training requires it not to be)
